 INDIAN LONG PEPPER



        Indian Long pepper is known as " Thippili" in Tamil. The fruit of the plant called " Arisi Thippili" and the root is called " Kandanthippili" in Tamil. It's Botanical name is Piper Loguem and it is widely used in Ayurveda.

    Indian Long pepper contains a chemical called piperine. It may be able to fight certain parasites that can infect people.

POPPY SEEDS

Poppy seeds are the seeds of the flower of poppy plant. It has been used as a traditional remedy for centuries. It is native to the Eastern Mediterranean. The seeds can be black or light grey color. Poppy seeds are used in baked goods and traditional dishes worldwide. Both the seeds and their oil are offering various health benefits. It is used for treating headaches and coughs to curing asthma and insomnia.

RICH IN NUTRIENTS AND ANTIOXIDANTS
    Poppy seeds are rich in fiber, plant fats, protein, Manganese, Copper, Calcium, Zinc and Iron. Poppy seeds are rich in manganese, which is important for bone health and blood clotting. The copper in poppy seeds helps for connective tissues and transport ion.

    The seeds can be cold pressed to produce poppy seed oil which is rich omega -6 and omega 9 fatty acids, hence it lowers the risk of  heart disease.

    Tailed pepper is a dried ripe berry that is usually called as cubeb pepper. It is widely used in traditional medicines for treating several diseases like dysentery, urogenital disease, diarrhea, abdominal pain, asthma and enteritis.

    Nutmeg is an incredible spice, used sparingly in many dishes. Nutmeg is valued for its sweet aroma. It is originated from Indonesia. Now it grows in Malaysia, Caribbean and Southern India. It gives flavor to many dishes. In Mughlai cuisine, it is used as a part of various masala mixes.

    Nutmeg also valued for its medicinal properties. Nutmeg is packed with nutrients. It has minerals such as Magnesium, Manganese and copper, Vitamins like B1, B6 etc.,


HEALTH BENEFITS OF NUTMEG


RELIEVES PAIN


    Nutmeg contains many anti-inflammatory properties which is useful in treating joint and muscle pan. It helps to reduce inflammation, swelling, joint pain, muscle pain and sores

    Bay leaf is a herb comes from bay laurel family, native to the Mediterranean. It is one of the standard cooking  ingredient in many savory dishes all around the world. 

    There are different varieties of bay leaf is available. Mediterranean bay leaf, Indian bay leaf, California bay leaf and Indonesian bay leaf. Indian bay leaf has a similar taste of cinnamon where the California bay leaf slightly have mint flavor.

4. Boil it for 2-3 minutes then keep it aside for few minutes then filter it.

5. Add honey for taste and drink


        Can prepare this drink overnight by soaking the bay leaves in boiled water and morning filter it and use it.

* Black pepper is a tree cultivated for its fruit, which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning

* When dried, the fruit is known as a Pepper Corn.

* Black  Pepper - cooked and dried unripe fruit

* Green Pepper - Dried Unripe Fruit

*White Pepper -  Ripe Fruit seeds

* Black pepper is the most pungent and flavorful of all types of peppers.

* Black pepper is available whole, crushed or ground into powder.

* To ensure best flavor, buy whole peppercorns and grind them just before adding to a recipe.

* Buying whole peppercorns will help to ensure that you are purchasing unadulterated pepper since ground pepper is often mixed with other spices.

* Black pepper should be kept in a tightly sealed glass container in a cool, dark and dry place.

* Add pepper at the end of the cooking process since it loses its flavor and aroma if cooked for too long, adding it near and end will help to preserve its flavor.
