 FOOD MYTH VS FACT 





1. HEALTHIER FOODS ARE EXPENSIVE - NO, This is not true.


             Healthy eating does not include costly foods. Healthy eating can be achieved at normal cost. Include whole grains, pulses and legumes, Fruits and vegetables in the diet to be healthy. Eat seasonal foods. Include Locally available foods.



2. SKIPPING MEALS HELPS TO KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF - NO, This is not true.


        Skipping meals can make people lack in essential nutrients and feel tired. when Skipping meals they feel tempted to eat foods high in fat and sugar. This will add more calories to the daily diet.

    Eating healthy balanced meals at regular times can help to lose more weight than skipping meals.


3. DRINKING WATER HELPS TO LOSE WEIGHT - NO, This is not true.


    Water does not help to lose weight. But drinking water and staying hydrated is part of a balanced diet and support weight loss. when feel like consume snack, try drinking a glass of water first. Water does not have any calories so it is a healthier option than sugary and carbonated beverages. 


4. CUTTING OUT ALL SNACKS HELPS TO LOSE WEIGHT - NO, This is not true.


        Snacking is not problem when trying to lose weight, but it is the type of snack. snacking in between meals helps to maintain the energy levels, fruits, vegetable salad, nuts and seeds are best options for snacking. 



5. RAPID WEIGHT LOSS IS WATER LOSS IN THE BODY- TRUE 


        When people trying to lose weight rapidly they are not consuming balanced diet which leads to excess water loss in the body and causes fatigue  and micro nutrient deficiency. Rapid weight loss is not a healthier option to lose weight. when losing weight rapidly that is not permanent weight loss, regaining of weight occurs easily.
